Back again for another dose of Web 2.0. Blogging and tweeting!

This is my first post on my new laptop computer! Very exciting stuff. After finishing the 23 things, I now have to navigate myself around this. What fun though!

Back to Work

Christmas is over, the New Year celebrations are over, the summer holidays are over and guess what, it's back to work. I am enjoying (tentatively) keeping the blog going. We'll just see how long it lasts. See if anyone checks it!

Happy New Year

Christmas over and New Year's begun. Summer holidays are here and it's time to recharge the batteries and get ready for the year ahead. We spent our holidays at our "getaway" at Ocean Grove. For a change this year we actually got a lot of beach time. Here my son and nephew spent ages digging and swimming. My nephew spent nearly an hour just in that puddle. Not a care in the world.

Father Christmas visits

The lead up to Christmas was, as always, busy and expensive, but when Father Christmas pays a visit all is forgotten! With great excitement the children in my family was hard to contain. Some of them knew who Ho Ho was, but the youngest ones were totally over awed. One terrified. This is of great amusement to the adults! Sad? I don't think so. It wouldn't be Christmas if at least one child wasn't absolutely petrified.

Week 9

I have come to the end of this learning curve of 23 things. I have enjoyed the journey with my colleagues and had some fun along the way. I may not use alot of what I have experienced but I will take away some exciting info. My favourites were YouTube, Flickr and Image Generator. Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Through my Bloglines I was looking for ebooks and came across Project gutenberg the first producer of free electronic books. I thought A Christmas Carol was apt at this time.

NetLibrary looked a better option than podcasts. I would certainly like to see this included in our catalogue at Yarra Plenty.

I had a look around the Yahoo podcast site and couldn't find anything that I'd listen to. I would much rather read a book, listen to a cd or watch a dvd.
